Austin City Limits, the legendary live music TV show, has taped in the same building as KUT for the past 36 years, on the sixth floor of Building B in the Jesse H. Jones Communication Center at the University of Texas.

Meryl Streep has been nominated for more Academy Awards than any other actor in the history of the Oscars.  Her roles ranged from the drama of "Silkwood" to the romance of "The Bridges of Madison County" to the musical comedy of "Mamma Mia."  But Friday she took on the role of mentor in a question-and-answer session with some Master's acting students at U-T.  She spoke with KUT's Ian Crawford before the session.

A new batch of Saint Arnold's Divine Reserve is hitting store shelves today. The Divine Reserve is a limited edition brew occasionally released by The Houston-based brewer. Some Austin beer enthusiasts are even taking the day off work to ensure they can grab cases of the barley wine.

A photographer from Boerne, a town of 10,000 about 90 miles southwest of Austin, is suing the Texas Department of Public Safety over the art used on more than 4 million inspection stickers.  David K.

Federal Communications Commission agents descended on Austin pirate radio station KAOS FM last week. You can watch a video of the bust on KAOS's website.

In the video, FCC agent Stephen Lee tells the operator of KAOS that he would be let off with a warning if he complies with the request to shut down the pirate radio station.
