Here’s another example of how Texas does things bigger: university funds.
The University of Texas System now has the second largest endowment among universities in the U.S.
That’s according to a survey released today from the investment firm Commonfund and the National Association of College and University Business Officers.
UT reported a total endowment in 2014 of more than $25 billion, a $5 billion increase from the year before. It’s so significant of a boost that UT bumped Yale, which ranked second last year, into third place.
The UT system was no match for that school near Boston, though. Harvard came in first, outranking UT by more than $10 billion.
