There Are Practically A Billion Ways To Track Santa Claus Online

Probably no surprise that the guy credited with distributing gifts to millions of kids is getting more tech savvy. Here are some ways to track Santa's flight path on the WWW.

The official NORAD Santa Tracker is going mobile. Not only can you follow Saint Nick's path on their website, but you can also follow his progress on your cell phone by visiting m.noradsanta.org or doing a search for "Santa" on your smartphone's Google Maps app.

Speaking of smartphones, there are several Santa tracking apps for iPhone and iPad in the Apple App Store including Santa Tracker, 3D Santa Tracker, and Santa Claus Tracker.  Android users have their own set of apps including Santa Tracker Christmas.

Of course, NORAD's Santa trackers are going all social media on us in 2010. Kids can track the big guy through Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, and TroopTube.

You can also track Santa the good old fashioned way, by telephone. Just tell your kids to dial 1-877-Hi-NORAD (1-877-446-6723). They can also email NORAD for the latest info at noradtrackssanta@gmail.com.

NORAD says the tracking will begin at 3 a.m. CST on Christmas eve.
