President Obama is in Austin today on the first stop of his “jobs and opportunities tour.” He said it’s because the Austin area has some “terrific things going on” that are good models for America to follow.
The president used his first stop today as an example: Manor New Tech High School, where he said students are learning the skills they need to succeed.
“That’s what’s happening here, right at Manor New Tech,” Obama said. “There’s a reason why teachers and principals from all over the country are coming down to see what you’re up to.”
Before the president spoke to the student body, he visited with students in a robotics class at Manor New Tech.
