KUT partnered with the Austin Monitor, Univision 62, KXAN and the Austin Chronicle for our series of in-district Austin City Council candidate forums to allow voters to get to know the candidates running in the new 10-1 geographic representative system.

District 1
KUT's Joy Diaz and the Austin Monitor's Mike Kanin hosted and moderated the event at Wesley United Methodist Church in East Austin, which featured eight of the nine candidates vying for the seat in District 1.
District 2
KUT's Joy Diaz and Univision 62’s Regina Rodriguez hosted and moderated the event, which featured three of the four candidates vying for the seat in District 2.
District 3
The 12 candidates vying for District 3's seat on the Austin City Council met for the first time at the North Door for the third installment of Ballot Boxing, discussing congestion issues, affordable housing, issues surrounding gentrification and the future of Austin going forward with the city's new 10-1 representation system.
District 4
Seven of the eight candidates for the District 4 spot on Austin City Council gathered at the Marchesa Hall with moderators Michael Kanin of the Austin Monitor and Regina Rodriguez of Univision 62.
District 5
Seven Austin City Council candidates from District 5 gathered at Austin Community College's South Austin campus with moderators Michael Kanin of the Austin Monitor and Mary Tuma of the Austin Chronicle.
District 6
Seven District 6 candidates gathered at the Alamo Drafthouse at Lakeline with moderators Amy Kamp of the Austin Chronicle and KXAN’s Angie Beavin.
District 7
Eight candidates for the District 7 Austin City Council spot joined moderators KXAN's Shannon Wolfson and Mike Kanin of the Austin Monitor at the Alamo Drafthouse Village on Anderson Lane.
District 8
Five candidates joined moderators KXAN's Shannon Wolfson and Richard Whittaker of the Austin Chronicle, as well as a sold-out crowd, at the South Austin Alamo Drafthouse on Slaughter Lane.
District 9
The three District 9 candidates joined voters at a forum moderated by The Austin Monitor's Michael Kanin and KUT's Jennifer Stayton in KUT's Studio 1A in the Belo Center for New Media at the UT-Austin campus.
District 10
Candidates met at the LCRA's Red Bud Center on Lake Austin Blvd for the Austin City Council District 10 forum.
