AUSTIN, Texas — April 26, 2017 — KUT News and “Texas Standard” have won five regional Edward R. Murrow awards from the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) in recognition of excellence in electronic journalism.

The awards were in the Region 6 (Oklahoma and Texas) large market radio category for the following projects produced in 2016:

Kacy Crowley Hosts Music Series

AUSTIN, Texas – March 29, 2017 – Up-and-coming artists looking to hone their performance skills and connect with the Austin music community can participate in the Cactus Cafe’s open mic nights curated and hosted by singer-songwriter Kacy Crowley.

The open mic night series kicks off Monday, April 3. Artist sign-ups start at 7:30 p.m., followed by the show at 8 p.m. Entry is free.

AUSTIN, Texas – March 7, 2017 – KUT News and “Texas Standard” won 18 awards, including eight first-place designations, from the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters on Thursday.

The awards were earned in the Division A, large market radio news category in recognition of excellence and achievement in journalism in various reporting categories such as continuing coverage, investigative report and documentary. The following stories, produced in 2016, were honored:
