Perry Attends DA's Funeral With Eye on Border Security

Gov. Rick Perry says tougher border security is needed in the wake of assassinations of North Texas prosecutors.

Gov. Rick Perry attended today’s memorial service for a North Texas district attorney and his wife who were shot to death in their home over the weekend.

The death of District Attorney Michael McClelland comes about two months after the killing of another prosecutor in that county.

In an interview today with Fox News Channel, Perry tied the killings to border security.

Gov. Perry Offers $100,000 Reward for Information on Kaufman Shootings

Gov. Perry called the recent shootings in Kaufman County "insidious" and offered a reward for any information on those responsible.

Gov. Rick Perry is offering a $100,000 reward for information that leads to those responsible for the shootings of Kaufman County Assistant District Attorney Mark Hasse, District Attorney Mike McLelland and his wife, Cynthia.

At a press conference today, Gov. Perry vowed that those responsible would be caught.
