Hot rods, custom cars and car enthusiasts from all over the country gathered in Austin this weekend for the 13th annual Lonestar Rod and Kustom Round Up event . Local car club "The Kontinentals" hosted the two-day event, which took place April 4 and 5 at the Travis County Expo Center. "Eighty cars were at the first show back at House Park Stadium and as this thing has continued to grow, almost exponentially.... now we have in excess of 1,500 cars," round up cofounder Steve Wertheimer said....

Austin relived a slice of the past this weekend. The Lonestar Round Up Car Show kicked off this Friday and hundreds of classic cars are all over town. What started 12 years ago with only 80 cars, turned into one of the biggest motor shows in the state.
