ACL is here. That means – whether you’re a native Austinite or an out-of-towner – there will be traffic.

I-35, MoPac, Congress Avenue, Barton Springs, South Lamar and any other stretch of paved road remotely near the downtown area will likely begin to resemble a parking lot by the time things kick-off this weekend. While there's plenty of parking, we can pretty much guarantee that none of it will be free.

So, with that in mind, here’s a guide to help you get from point A to point B without getting behind the wheel.

C3 Presents Promoters May Have Suffered a Data Breach

C3 Presents, the organizers of the ACL Fest, had personal data of independent contractors, as well as present and former employees, reportedly stolen from a server in June.

C3 Presents, the Austin-based music promotions firm behind such festivals as Austin City Limits and Lollapalooza, has apparently suffered a security breach. The details were cited in a letter sent to potential victims of the violation, including an Austin Monitor reporter.

The document states that "on current information and belief, no festival or concert customer information was exposed."

However, the letter adds that "an unknown unauthorized person gained access" to one of C3's servers after "its theft ... on Friday, June 20, 2014."

ACL Fest Organizers on What's In Store for 2014

Every day brings the possibility to see a variety of talents – both from music’s biggest and brightest, to up-and-coming acts in Austin’s live music scene.

For many outside Central Texas, Austin’s “Live Music Capital of the World” status is summed up by two of the city’s biggest music festivals: South by Southwest and the Austin City Limits Music Festival. The latter, now in its 13th year, carries the brand of the historic Austin City Limits television show, which has a rich and storied history all its own.
