Coffee, Coffee...Buzz, Buzz

Make sure to get outside today.  Sure it's a little cold this morning.  But yesterday's strong winds are gone and we'll get into the lower 70's today.  But before you head out...here's some info on what's been going on in Texas to start your day:

  • The Austin American-Statesman has a story this morning on the Innovate Texas Foundation.  The federally funded program was intended to be an economic development group that business leaders hoped would bring in new companies and new jobs.  The Statesman's report dives in to see just what the organization actually accomplished.
  • Julian Aguilar, a reporter with KUT's political reporting partner The Texas Tribune, has an interesting story this morning on the cultural beliefs that keep many in the Hispanic community fromsigning up for organ donor programs.
  • And the Texas Longhorns Men's and Women's basketball teams finished up their regular seasons last night.  The women lost a heartbreaker to Oklahoma St. 68-67.  While the men snapped a 2-game losing streak by beating Baylor 60-54.  Up next for both teams: the Big 12 tournament.
