Watch Randi Shade and Kathie Tovo Debate Online Tonight

Only 3 percent of Austin voters cast ballots in this city council matchup, but tonight, the two candidates in the runoff race for Place 3 will go head-to-head in an hour-long debate at City Hall. Incumbent Randi Shade and challenger Kathie Tovo square off at 6:30 pm.

You don’t even need to hunt for downtown parking to watch it. The entire forum will be streamed live online and broadcast on Time Warner Cable Channel 6.

What’s that you say? You’ve got better things to do from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm on a Friday night than participate in local democracy? Well, perhaps you should take a gander at our “5 Reasons Why You Should Care About City Council RunoffElection.” Or even our factcheck of recent statements by both candidates.

If that doesn’t get your heart racing with anticipation, check out these dueling campaign commercials.
