Three State Amendments Failing

Texas voters are saying "yes" to seven of the 10 constitutional amendments on today's statewide ballot.

  • Proposition 4 would let counties sell bonds to develop land designated as unproductive, underdeveloped or blighted. It's failing 60 to 40 percent.
  • Prop 8, which would levy a water stewardship tax on some open lands, is still failing by a narrow 53 to 47 percent. The rest of the 10 proposals on the ballot are passing.
  • Prop 7, which would let El Paso County form a reclamation district for parks 52 to 48 percent

Both Travis County bond proposals are winning.
Voters in the Lake Travis and Lago Vista I-S-Ds appear to have approved their respective bond packages. The Lake Travis bond is winning, 63 to 37 percent. Lago Vista voters are saying yes, 74 to 26 percent.

And all 11 Pflugerville propositions are passing.
