Dark clouds hover Austin this evening...and they apparently aren't kidding.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of Central Texas this evening. A warning for Northwest Travis County until 6:30 p.m. Other warnings are expected through the evening as the line of storms moves eastward through the region.

Some of the storms, forecasters say, are capable of producing quarter-inch sized hail and gusty winds as high as 60 miles per hour. The storms are expected to slide southward toward San Antonio as they move east tonight. Watch out for quickly changing driving conditions.
