A company that provides dating services in Austin is coming under fire from the local Better Business Bureau. eLove says on its website that it was voted the #1 matchmaker at an industry conference for two years in a row, but the local BBB says it has received 37 complaints against the business.

Consumer complaints received by BBB allege Together Dating, also known as eLove, does not provide them with enough matches or with matches that meet the profile or criteria the consumer discussed with company. For example, some consumers have stated they told this company they did not want to be matched with a person who was previously married, however they received matches who were divorced or currently separated

KEYE spoke to a customer who refused to be identified, and said none of the four men she met was a good match.

"After the Dungeons and Dragons guy, I wanted my money back," the customer said.

An eLove spokesperson told the TV station that a matchmaker can't guarantee anyone they'll find love.

The Better Business Bureau offers several suggestions choosing a dating service, reminding people to "consider their expectations" and request detailed information about fees.
