How To Watch The 2011 Legislative Session From The Comfort Of Home

Political junkies who don't have time to spend all day at the Capitol can watch the Texas legislative session unfold from behind a TV or computer monitor.

Here's how you can do it:

City of Austin TV will broadcast the Texas House of Representatives on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and weekends.  Travis County TV will broadcast the House on Thursdays and Fridays.

If House sessions conflict with City Council meetings or other important broadcasts on Channel 6, the broadcasts will be replayed when the House is not in session or on Thursdays through Sundays.

Texas Senate Sessions will be shown on Austin Independent School District TV.

Where to find City of Austin TV: Time Warner Cable (channel 6), Grande Communications (channel 6), AT&T U-Verse (channel 99) or stream live here

Where to find Travis County TV: Channel 17 on Time Warner Cable or stream live here

Where to find AISD TV: Channel 22 on Time Warner Cable, or stream live here

You can also catch House broadcasts and archived video here. Archived Senate video can be found here.
