Former President George W. Bush's presidential memoir goes on sale today. The Dallas Morning News reports that hundreds are lined up this morning at a Border's store about a mile from Bush's home in Dallas.
More than 500 people, some of whom camped out overnight, had shown up this morning at the Borders at Preston Road and Royal Lane for a chance to meet the former commander in chief and buy his new memoir, Decision Points.
"I wouldn't be out here for anyone else," said Maria Belmares, who despite arriving shortly after 3 a.m. found a couple of hundred people in front of here.
As Bush launches a national media blitz in a bid to reshape his legacy, we encourage you to hear an alternative perspective of the 43rd President and his impact on domestic and foreign policy.
Final Exam: Grading the Bush Years is an award-winning radio documentary produced by KUT in 2009 and hosted by The Texas Tribune's Evan Smith.
