Voters will make a decision on a $892 million bond for AISD. The bond is split into four parts and would go towards things suchrelieving overcrowded schools, increasing security, technology upgrades and more. You can view a sample ballot provided by the Travis County Clerk's Office listing each proposition.
AISD has also released an interactive map breaking down potential bond projects, school-by-school.
Registered Travis County voters can cast ballots early from today through Tuesday, May 7 at any of the early or mobile voting locations.
Registered voters can vote with a voter registration card; driver’s license or official photo ID; birth certificate; United States citizenship papers or passport; or a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, or other official document that shows the name and address of the voter.
Registered Travis County voters can cast their ballot at any Austin voting centers on Election Day, May 11. But if you want to represent your neighborhood precinct, your precinct number can be found on your registration card. If you do not have your card, are unsure of your precinct number, or need to confirm you are registered to vote, you can look online at the Tax Assessor/Collector Voter Registration website, as well as call the 24-hour automated telephone hotline to look that information up for you at (512) 238-VOTE (8683).
You can apply for voting by mail. You are eligible to vote early by mail if you are a registered voter who is:
- 65 years of age or older
- Out of the country during the entire election period
- Sick or disabled
- Confined in jail (but still eligible to vote)
