City officials will hold a public meeting tonight to discuss the future of Bull Creek District Park and get input from the community about that future. The meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. at the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center, 600 Water St.
The park was placed off-limits to dogs for a time, because of fears that the dogs' waste products were contaminating the waters of Bull Creek. Now dogs are only allowed in the park on a leash in certain areas.
Officials from Austin's Parks and Recreation Department and the city's Watershed Protection Department will release their recommendations based on a study of the water running through the park at tonight's meeting.
