Activists Against U.S. Surveillance Programs Rally at Texas Capitol

More than 100 people rallied today on the south steps of the Texas Capitol, demonstrating against recently-publicized U.S. intelligence gathering methods such as PRISM, the digital surveillance program of the National Security Agency.

People carried posters praising NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden and criticizing President Barack Obama after recent scandals uncovered large-scale government surveillance operations within the United States.

A group called Restore the Fourth helped organize the rally in support of the Fourth Amendment, which protects U.S. citizens from unreasonable search and seizure.
