NewsTexas Collects 15 Percent More in Sales TaxesAlmost $2 billion in Texas sales taxes were collected in June this year. That's a 15 percent more than the state collected in June last year. Austin's share of the that larger pie comes to about $12.5 million in revenue – up more than 10 percent from the same time last year.
