Austin Music MinuteGuns of Navarone, Slowtrain, The Preservation & Carpetbagger Tonight at The ParishAs if a delectable triple bill wasn't enough to send me over the top, this time I've got a four-band bill to rave about, and it is all good.
There's a spectacular show lined up for you tonight at The Parish, 214 E. 6th St., with some definite Austin Music Minute favorites. Check it out:
-Alt.-country/pop rockers Guns of Navarone. You get a bit of traditional folk and country, but stepping beyond roots music with a raw mix of Southern rock, pop and punk. Engaging without oversimplifying.
-Rock 'n' soul band Slowtrain. Very cool pop, soul and a touch of blues that rocks not just on the guitar but also on the keys. Great music inspired by late night impromptu jams.
-Cosmic American rock quintet The Preservation. So named for their mix of a multitude of influences: Pop, psych,... |
