Texas to Resume Executions

Texas resumes executions June 3rd. 40-year-old Derrick Sonnier will be the first inmate to be executed in the state since last September. He'll be the fourth in the nation to be executed since April, when the Supreme Court upheld lethal injection procedures in a Kentucky case. Sonnier is convicted of killing 27-year-old Melody Flowers and her 2-year-old son Patrick in the Houston suburb, Humble.
