The band stopped their set to invite friends on stage for a special surprise.
Having toured with Flaming Lips, Denton’s Midlake are no strangers to large crowds. The Austin Ventures stage was audience earned a special treat on Sunday, however, as the band stopped their set to invite a friend on stage to propose to his girlfriend. She said yes, and the band followed up with the song “Young Bride” from their latest full-length, The Trials of Van Occupanther.
