Dominic Smith’s Beautiful Miscellaneous.

Dominic Smith’s new book, The Beautiful Miscellaneous is to be featured at a reading/signing at Book People (6th & Lamer) on Friday, June 8 at 7:00 p.m. He came into our studios for an interview in which he discussed his fascinating novel, which deals with a genius physicist and his not genius son, who however, because of an accident, becomes a synesthete, one who experiences concomitant sensations. (There is the famous example from Emily Dickinson, “I heard a blue buzz when I died.”)

I’m really enjoying the read. The author has done extensive research on a difficult and amazingly weird field. It’s very informative reading, but it IS a novel, and a truly funny one at that! Enjoy!
