Austin, TX
The year was 1998 when Disney’s “The Lion King” roared onto Broadway and wowed audiences and won a bevy of Tony Awards. For some Austinites it seems like a long time to wait, but “The Lion King” opens at the Bass Concert Hall in Austin tomorrow night.
It didn’t take 9 years to haul in everything needed for this big production, but it has taken several semi-trucks and more than a hundred people to prepare for the show.
