Negotiations continue this week between the owners of the Escuelita del Alma day care center and developers planning to bring a Marriott hotel to the 200 block of Congress Avenue in downtown Austin.
White Lodging Services does not envision building a hotel that includes Escuelita del Alma — commonly translated as “Little School of my Soul.” As Larry Schooler reports, that has dozens of families wondering about what to do with their children during the day. And it has the city and the developer wondering how to help.
