Former Texas governor Ann Richards died September 13th at her home in Austin. She was buried at the Texas State Cemetery on Monday the 18th. KUT news offers this special remembrance of the former Texas Governor.
Statesmen, fans and citizens turned out to bid Former Governor Richards farewell as she lay in state in the Texas Capitol. Over the next half hour, we’ll remember the one-time school teacher who began in politics as a Travis County Commissioner, served as Texas Governor from 1991-1995, and ended her days as firmly and fully committed to the state and her people as ever.
