Lubbock, TX songstress, playwright and all-around “bad girl” Jo Carol Pierce had a tribute album released in the early 90’s, before she even recorded a single note. As part of the Llano Estacado’s legendary talent roster, she made a name for herself but didn’t begin to take her writing seriously until she was in her late forties. Her unique voice and worldview is out-front on the latest recording Dog of Love, featuring guests Mark Andes and Burnin’ Mike Vernon.
