HelioVolt decideds to manufacture in Austin and may attract other green-tech companies to Central Texas.
Despite the downward trend of the national economy nationally, Austin’s future looks bright. More and more companies are turning to Austin as a prime place to expand. Austin hopes its reputation will continue to grow with this week’s announcement that an advanced solar product company named HelioVolt—will locate its manufacturing facility here. Michael Mendoza reports on how Austin may turn into a Mecca for green tech companies.
