Since the mid-90s, Colombia’s Aterciopelados have gradually become one of the most influential and important rock-en espanol bands across the world. Formed by Grammy winning singer/guitarist Andrea Echeverri and bassist/producer Hector Buitrago, their name translates loosely to the “velvety ones.” The group’s latest Oye propels the band’s reputation as leaders in the kingdom of Latin rock.
