Dignitaries from around the country came to Austin Monday, September 18, 2006 to remember Gov. Ann Richards and celebrate her life. Thousands of Austinites joined the service in Austin at The Frank Erwin Center. The hour long service can be heard here in its entirety (the program starts about 60 seconds in).

Former Mayor of Dallas Ron Kirk, master of ceremonies
Liz Smith, syndicated columnist
Henry Cisneros, former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and former Mayor of San Antonio
U.S. Senator Hillary R. Clinton
Lily Adams (Ann Richard’s oldest granddaughter)

Wesley United Methodist Church’s choir provided much of the music for the services.
