Every Friday at 11:00 a.m., NPR and WXPN in Philadelphia broadcast a live performance. On Friday, May 9 it’s British Sea Power.
Formed in 2000, Brighton-based band British Sea Power’s engaging and unique live performances define their early career. Dipped in reverb, their songs are full of jagged pop hooks and though they are often compared to bands such as The Cure and Joy Division, British Sea Power presents a style of their own: playful, logical, profound and defined by dazzling instrumentals. British Sea Power once again reigns over the seas, marking their international territory with the release of their third album Do You Like Rock Music?
