He joined&nbsp;<em>The</em> <em>Washington Post </em>in the &#39;80&#39;s, covering domestic and foreign affairs before moving on to a managing editor post.</p><p>More recently, Robinson&#39;s become known nationally as a Pulitzer prize-winning columnist and contributor to MSNBC.
