Justin Townes Earle has quite the musical pedigree, being the son of Steve Earle. That being said, he's made more than enough strides to make it a very safe distance from his father's shadow. Earle is a pioneer of Americana and folk music today, and the things he does frequently make waves in throughout the genre. Texas duo Sons of Fathers' name almost implies a lot about them as a band. Their music is timeless and traditional country folk, music that their fathers or their fathers' fathers could have played. Either that, or I'm reading way too far into a band name, which is very likely. In the short time that the band has been together, they've become known for their flawless vocal harmonies and their very talented songwriting. Sons of Fathers' first, self-titled album was released last year to a warm critical and fan response.
