The most recent Storyboard intern, Andres Aguirre, is also very plugged into the electronic dance music scene here in Austin and is one of a growing number of underground DJs that specialize in this genre. In contrast with what might be thought of as more mainstream DJs, underground DJs play selections of their own in unique and entertaining sets that are designed to keep Austin dance floors moving. Aguirre interviewed 9 local underground DJs about their experiences as selectors and producers to create this piece in an attempt to illuminate just a small portion of the discourse surrounding the Austin dance music scene....
