Our first recording in this series is from February 25, 1975, when Coretta Scott King visited Austin and spoke at the UT Forum Series. She discussed her work on the National Committee for Full Employment. Even though it is from over 30 years ago, her words are still as fresh, inspiring and poignant as ever.

Around Town, StoryCorpsH. H. Wright and Sean GuessH.H. Wright of Rogers, Texas was born in 1924. He saw the Great Depression as a young boy and later, as a young man, he served his country in the second world war. He recently sat down with his grandson, Sean Guess, in the StoryCorp mobile booth and shared a few memories, including this remembrance of the end of World War II.... |
