On this week's Spin This, Texas gets a nod to its spaghetti western past through the stunning new project from Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi. When most non-Texans think of Texas, their minds turn to desert landscapes filled with bone-dry valleys and stunning canyons. Blame it on movie Westerns, and specifically the so-called "spaghetti westerns" of the 1960s and 1970s. Often set in Texas, the films were largely filmed in Italy and Spain to save on production costs. You can count the producer Danger Mouse a fan of these highly-stylized films, and over the past five years, he's worked with the composer Daniele Luppi to recreate the feel of a classic spaghetti western soundtrack.
