I’ve raved about them before, and I'll probably do it again. Make way for the dirty blues-rock sounds of local trio The Black Owl Society. Featuring drummer Charlie Jones, guitarist Nate Boff, and bassist/lead vocalist Buffalo, the BOS throws down a pretty mean roots jam, more toward the darker end of the twelve-bar boogie/rock ‘n’ roll spectrum, leaning a bit more on the rock side but chock full of grimy, gritty blues riffs.
