Dirty Projectors Play Tonight at Emo’s

Usually, if a band is rounding up some demos as potential songs for a new album, there may be ten or more. Twenty might be considered a lot. Apparently, songwriter David Longstreth of Brooklyn-based band Dirty Projectors brought 40 demos to the table. Possibly more. The description for this is not so much prolific as it is...maybe mondo creative explosion going ninety miles an hour. But such is the extraordinary vision of Dirty Projectors. Their productions on previous albums have been grandiose to say the least, bordering on martian with ideas that not only go off any beaten path but perhaps get directly lifted from someone's bizarro dreams with the most incredible plots imaginable.
