Austin based band
Cotton Mather isn't the most well known band, but their album
Kontiki's influence is deep and widespread. The album was an enormous hit in the UK, and Noel Gallagher has claimed it to be one of his favorites. It can be said that Kontiki has influenced a great many of the Austin bands that are active today. The album was recently re-released in a slightly more deluxe flavor than before, and Cotton Mather is reuniting to perform the album throughout at this year's SXSW.
Cotton Mather's set from the Four Seasons is RIGHT HERE for your listening pleasure.

North Carolina based band Lost in the Trees is Ari Picker's pop passion project. In 2010, Lost in the Trees released their first album in their current, more orchestral iteration, called All Alone in an Empty House. The album was very well reviewed, and brought them national attention. With a follow up album due very soon, Lost in the Trees will be at this year's SXSW music festival, and you can listen to them RIGHT HERE a part of KUT's lineup at the Four Seasons.... » read more
