Chris Isaak is definitely well versed in the tradition of American rock and rollers. You can see his music clearly lining up with that of early rock and roll legends like Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis. It's those same legends that inspired Isaak to become a musician in the first place, so it's fitting that his most recent album,
Beyond the Sun, is an album of covers of those greats. Recorded in the famous Sun Studio in Memphis (the same studio that made some of his idols famous),
