Austin band
the Blind Pets is doing their very best to capture, bottle, and sell 100% pure, unfiltered rock and roll. The local power trio's sound has been known to punch listeners in the face, and I mean that in the best way possible. It is no-holds barred raucous, riotous rock, which holds up either recorded or live, but especially live. Seeing the band live is an experience no one could soon forget - they are Austin rock through and through, which means they go hard. The Blind Pets have released 2 albums together as a band, 2009's
Smashed and 2011's
Sweet Tooth, both of which received their share of praise. In fact,
Sweet Tooth made it onto KUT's own David Browns Top 10 of 2011. Tomorrow,
The Blind Pets are playing a show at the ND to kick off their tour of the midwest. Check out their performance live in Studio 1a RIGHT HERE!...

He emerged more than victorious, with 40 songs, 10 of which landed in the hands of Ghostland Observatory's Thomas Turner. Turner almost immediately signed him to his label. Battleme's sound is more of a stripped down affair than Drenik's work with Lions. Trading out loud rock guitars for more folk acoustic ones, the result is a... » read more
