Music ArchiveThe Young @ KUT 6/12/12Fresh out of Austin, The Young have a dark, rollicking sound that has been slowly evolving in guitarist/singer Hans Zimmerman's basement recording studio over the past five years. Previously of more of a punk flavor, The Young has since evolved into something entirely new and special -- a kind of psychedelic, sludgy rock. While their sound harkens to contemporaries Kurt Vile and Lower Dens, The Young also have a (ahem) youthful brashness that sets them apart from more conservative psych-rock groups of today.... |
