From Cincinnati, OH, Wussy has been cranking out consistently good rock since 2001, when Chuck Cleaver and Lisa Walker began playing local venues together. Originally a guitar duo, the group added drummer Joe Klug, pedal steel player John Erhardt, and bassist Mark Messerly after a few albums to flesh out their sound. In the middle of their fractured, war-torn country, the Refugee All Stars found each other and began playing music together. They played to bring hope to themselves and to others amidst the chaos. When filmmakers Banker White and Zach Niles and Canadian musician Chris Velan found the group, they knew they had stumbled upon a story worth telling.
A few years later when the documentary "Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars" came out, the world was introduced to the band, and quickly received popular acclaim.
