Music ArchiveHa Ha Tonka @ KUT 9/8/12Hailing from Springfield, Missouri, Ha Ha Tonka take the Ozarks folk that characterizes the region and sharpen it to an indie rock point. The band exists right on the intersection of rock and folk, and the result is a sound that has earned them critical and fan praise since they started playing together in 2005. In keeping with the folk side of their sound, their latest album, Death of a Decade, was recorded in a 200-year-old barn. Since its release in 2011, the album has brought them national attention with radio play across the country. Ha Ha Tonka is in town playing a show at Lamberts.
