Bob Livingston was fundamental figure in the Austin music scene in the 1970s, sparking all kinds of movements in town that turned it into the city it is today - "The Live Music Capital of the World." Throughout his career, Livingston has toured across the world and played with three-named legends such as Ray Wylie Hubbard and Jerry Jeff Walker. One of his more recent projects, Cowboys & Indian, showcases the differences, similarities, and fusion between country and traditional Indian music. Austin jazz musician Elias Haslanger has played saxophone with some great names in Texas music, including Alejandro Escovedo and Asleep at the Wheel. Haslanger has played in some of the most famous jazz clubs across the United States and Europe, and composed pieces that have been played on radio stations around the world. KUT's own Jay Trachtenberg considers Haslanger's third album, Kicks are for Kids, to be one of the best albums to come out of Austin in the 90's.
