Working in the Austin music for the past 20 years,
Guy Forsyth has become known for his impressive live shows. And for his past few albums, Foryth's main focus when recording was capturing that live energy. With his most recent album, he decided to throw that notion out and focus purely on the craft of songwriting. The result,
The Freedom to Fail, contains appearances by some of Forsyth's fellow Asylum Street Spankers alums and Austin icon Jon Dee Graham. Guy Forsyth will play a release show for the new album on Saturday night at the Stateside at the Paramount. You can hear him play live in Studio 1a RIGHT HERE!...

Formed in 2000 out of the wreckage of two New York indie rock bands, The Walkmen came together and play something different and new. While the bands they came from played heated garage rock, The Walkmen frequently incorporate piano, vintage instrumentation and creative recording techniques for a much more polished sound. Their latest album, Heaven, was released over the summer to some fantastic reviews from critics and fans alike. The band's tour in support of the album will bring them to Austin tonight, with a show at Stubb's. They swung by Studio 1a before hitting the road to Houston. You can hear that session on KUT RIGHT HERE!
