It's an explosion of poppy goodness on this week's edition of The Good Music Club! Welcome to The GMC, a live monthly music event and online video series highlighting the best local music artists that give Austin its reputation of being THE Live Music Capital of the World. The GMC records performances by the participating bands, then shares the HD videos with new fans and resources outside of Austin. Our goal is to to reach new fans in cities across the country and worldwide.
This week, we present local "cosmic-American" outfit The Preservation, a band that brings a lot to the table with a huge mix of influences that each band member contributes, everything from psych to blues, to country and western, and lots more. It's been described as rock meets pop meets hippie redneck.
Plans are underway for the next Good Music Club tapings on Saturday, November 24th at The ND, located at E. 5th St. and Brushy, in the same neighborhood as Progress Coffee. The list of bands will be revealed...
