Texas Women’s History Month Profiles
KUT and the Ruthe Winegarten Foundation celebrate Women’s History Month with the “Texas Women’s History Moment” throughout March. Each day, these 90 second pieces highlight the impact that women in the Lone Star State have had in shaping what Texas has become today. This year, we’ve added Janis Joplin, “Big Mama” Willa Mae Thornton, Molly Bailey and more. You can hear the Texas Women’s History Moment weekdays at 7:33am, 12:30pm and 3:30pm; Saturdays at 12:04pm and 8:04pm, and Sunday at 7:04am, 5:04pm and 8:04pm.
