OFFICIAL RULES
HOW TO ENTER THE LOLLAPALOOZA MUSIC FESTIVAL SWEEPSTAKES:
NO PURCHASE OR PLEDGE NECESSARY. MAKING A PURCHASE OR PLEDGE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING THIS CONTEST.
All current “Sustaining Members” of KUT/KUTX are automatically entered to win.
Entries for the contest can be made by making an online membership pledge to KUT/KUTX between 5:00 a.m. CST March 21, 2013 and 12 Midnight CST April 2, 2013. To make an entry without pledging, you may e-mail membership@kut.org with your name, address telephone number, and email address or send a postcard handwritten, with the message “KUT/KUTX Lollapalooza Sweepstakes, to KUT Public Media Studios, 300 W. Dean Keeton A0704, Austin, Texas 78712-1061, postmarked by April 2nd, 2013. Include your name, street address, city/state/zip code, email address and a daytime phone number. Entries with incomplete information will be disqualified. Limit one entry per household. Multiple entries, if discovered, will be disqualified. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, mutilated, misdirected, illegible, incomplete or postage due mail or entries. No mechanical reproductions of entries allowed.
ELIGIBILITY: Any resident of the United States who is 21 years of age or older with a valid ID can enter the contest. Excluded are persons who on or after March 22, 2013 are employees of KUT/KUTX Radio, C3 Presents/Lollapalooza, and its related organizations, their immediate family or persons living in the same household.
PRIZE: Two “Lolla Lounge VIP Passes” to the Lollapalooza Music Festival, 1 Standard Hotel Room for four (4) nights in Chicago, IL, August 1-5, 2013. Coach Airfare for two (2). Approximate package value: $4300.
NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS: One winner and five back up names for the prize will be selected by random drawing. Winner will be drawn by April 10, 2013. Winner will be notified by telephone and e-mail. If KUT/KUTX is unable to reach the winner or the winner is unable to accept the prize within 2 days of notification, the un-awarded prize will go to the first back up and subsequent back ups thereof until the prize is awarded. Winner must provide their social security number and sign a release form prior to awarding of prize. The odds of winning are dependent upon the number of eligible entries received.
CLAIMING PRIZE: Winner will take delivery of prize confirmation documents at KUT Public Media Studios, 300 W. Dean Keeton A0704, Austin, Texas 78712-1061 within 10 days of accepting the prize. Winner will take delivery of Lolla Lounge Passes at same location after July 15, 2013. Winner will work with KUT/KUTX staff to book air travel within 10 days of accepting confirmation documents.
GENERAL: By participating in the Contest, participants agree that KUT/KUTX Radio, C3 Presents, Lollapalooza, and related organizations, their agents and employees have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind which result from use of the prize, or by participation in the contest. The Prize is non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash. There can be no substitutions, except that Sponsor may substitute a prize for one of equal or greater value if due to prize unavailability. KUT/KUTX may use winners’ names and likenesses for publicity purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited. We recommend consulting your tax advisor before accepting the prize. Winner will receive an IRS form 1099 with the exact value of the prize at year-end.
RESTRICTIONS: By participating in the Contest, a participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules, and by all decisions of the contest judges.
